On the afternoon of May 25th, the first NJUPT International Cultural Festival, hosted by the Overseas Education College and the International Exchange and Cooperation Division, was held in the Library Square of NJUPT.

The theme of the festival “Dream and Bloom” was divided into three parts: Seeking Dreams, Building Dreams, and Realizing Dreams, which signifies as a whole building the Chinese dream and displaying the colorful youth. The Universal Brotherhood flag show started the cultural festival off as an opening show. After that, various exotic shows were presented by international students from more than 30 countries including Russia, Ghana, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, and Congo. Russian folk dance, Southern African national dance, Kazakhstan's traditional songs and fighting performances. Moreover, Bangladeshi solo performances went one after another. Chinese students also brought a variety of wonderful traditional performances including traditional Chinese calligraphy, martial arts, the Kun opera and archery performances.

What followed was the cultural display of tents from 27 representative countries. In their tents, the overseas students displayed their unique national cuisines, handicrafts, etc., attracting a lot of students to flock there. The students tasted exotic foods, talked pleasantly with foreign students and learned about cultures of various countries, fully enchanted by the unique exotica.
