On January 26th, the Best Chinese Universities Ranking website officially released the best universities in China of year 2016 rankings. Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications is placed 75th in the comprehensive ranking. Since NJUPT ranked among the top 100 best universities in 2015, its ranking has made significant progress.

A total of 310 universities are ranked on the Best Universities in China of Year 2016 List, among them the top five are Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, and Fudan University. And Nanjing University, China University of Science and Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Sun Yat-sen University rank from the sixth to the tenth. Among the top 100 there are 16 universities from Jiangsu Province.
